Work, by its very nature is not something that many people enjoy, but if you have the luxury of doing work that you really enjoy, then you should count yourself blessed. Shira Lazar is one of those blessed few who really enjoys what she does. I recently had the privilege of watching her at work, albeit not under normal circumstances. Shira and I were both part of a group of people who decided to spend our workday ‘coworking’ down by the beach. We made our little office away from home at the Loews in Santa Monica and immediately it was obvious that we were going to have a good time. Some people later commented that they believed that the only person working that day was our waitress Delila, but their comments were completely without merit. It may have looked like nobody was getting anything done, but the truth of the matter was that we were just having so much fun together that it appeared as though we weren’t working.
I am especially thankful to: Brian Solis, Jackie Peters, Nicole Jordan, and everyone else who dropped by for allowing me to cowork with them. It was a brilliant day!
